Artificial Christmas trees have become quite a popular home decoration on New Year's Eve, but, unfortunately, they are not eternal either. After several years of use, the tree becomes unusable. Do not rush to take her to the trash can, showing imagination you can give her a second life in the form of other New Year's decor items. So, three ideas that will help to dispose of the old artificial spruce to good use.
Fakes from an old artificial Christmas tree
From the old Christmas tree you can make the most original fakes that will decorate the New Year's interior. Such products are made easily and simply, and most importantly, that they can be made with children.
Christmas basket
An unusual basket can be made independently in just a few hours. This is a simple but effective decoration. Materials and tools:
- Elements of the old Christmas tree (paws).
- Basket (can be from vines, felt, metal wire).
- Garland with small bulbs 1.5 - 2 meters long.
- Glue gun.
- The adhesive tape is transparent.
- Decor (Christmas balls, toys, cones, bows, tinsel).
An old Christmas tree is disassembled into individual parts. Only paws are useful for work. If metal hooks are used for fastening, then they are cut off with the help of wire cutters.
Choose several suitable paws of the Christmas tree and put them together in a "bouquet", for this useful tape.
A garland is placed at the bottom of the basket, so that the unit for adjusting the operating modes and the cord with the plug remain outside the bowl.
Glue the "bunch" of branches to the bottom of the basket.

- Gouache paints.

The tree is taken apart into separate paws. A "bouquet" is formed of several branches, the ends of which are wrapped with construction tape - this will be the muzzle of a hedgehog. Using papier-mâché technique, a nose is formed. To do this, a layer of PVA glue is applied to the adhesive tape, glued on top with layers previously torn into small parts of the napkin. Important! After each applied layer of wipes, the product must be set aside to dry completely.
Ordinary gouache paint the face of a hedgehog.
An oval is cut out of cardboard - this will be the abdomen. With the power of hot glue, the cardboard is glued to the branches, so that it is at the bottom. The paws of the Christmas tree spread, forming the "prickly body" of the hedgehog.

- Tapes.
- Christmas decorations.
- Hot glue (gun).
- Thin wire.
- Artificial snow (spray), you can use crushed polystyrene.
A circle of the required diameter is made of wire. Tip: the diameter should be at least 40 cm. Only in this case the wreath will have an aesthetic appearance.
With the help of a thin wire, the branches of a Christmas tree are wound onto the base. Gently spread the paws, giving the product the desired look.
Artificial snow is sprayed over the entire surface of the needles. Wrap a wreath with ribbons. Their ends are fixed from the wrong side to the glue. It is better to use a wide ribbon of bright color.
